Located in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties, Englewood is bordered by Lemon Bay, The Gulf of Mexico, Charlotte Harbor and the Myakka River.  In close proximity to the barrier island of Manasota Key, opportunities for  recreational water activities abound.  Manasota Key is home to Blind Pass, Stump Pass, Englewood Beach, and Manasota Beach .   Parking and beach access is abundant, with boat launch facilities, fishing, beach combing and shell collecting.  Blind Pass Beach features 60 acres of nature trails and boat docking accessible from the intracoastal. .  Manasota Beach is lifeguard protected with showers, picnic shelters and grills.  Look down and you will see the concrete walks embedded with fossilized shark teeth.  Vendors are now available at Stump Pass to rent a Stand Up Paddle Board or Kayak for a leisurely paddle on Lemon Bay. Englewood is home to eight golf courses to challenge every skill level.
